Shane Osguthorpe is an Ogden-based singer-songwriter who has called the area home for the last 25 years. He grew up in Park City, Utah and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications with an emphasis in journalism from Brigham Young University. By day, he functions as the Marketing Director for Visit Ogden, attracting meetings, conventions, conferences, business and leisure travelers to Weber County.
By night, he takes the stage as a solo artist, a member of a popular duo (The Proper Way) or a member of various bands as a lead singer, guitarist and/or keyboardist. Shane is a storyteller by nature and it comes through in his original songs, whether stripped down laments or upbeat tales in a unique style he calls "cheatgrass" - bluegrass instrumentation played in a more Americana style.
