Susan Campbell

Originally from the Upper Midwest, Susan Campbell is a flutist and arts administrator now based in Ogden, Utah. Throughout her career Susan has been an active soloist, chamber musician, orchestral flutist, and teacher. She is principal flute for Chamber Orchestra Ogden and regularly performs as a member of NEXT Ensemble. Susan has also performed with the New American Philharmonic, the Grand Symphonic Winds, the El Paso Wind Symphony, and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra. She has also served as a flutist in the U.S. Army Band at Fort Bliss.

Susan is passionate about non-profit arts administration, and is currently Administrative Services Manager of the Browning Center, a performance venue on the campus of Weber State University. Before coming to the Browning Center in September 2015, she was Education Development Coordinator at the Ogden Symphony Ballet Association and founded that organization's Masterworks Music Detectives outreach program for children.

Susan is Executive Director of NEXT Ensemble, has served on the board of directors for Chamber Orchestra Ogden, and is a Certified Change Leader with the Utah Division of Arts and Museums.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Minnesota. Her principal teachers have included Adele Lorraine, Jane Garvin, Hanoch Tel-Oren, Melissa Colgin-Abeln, and Immanuel Davis. Susan is currently enrolled in the Master of Arts Administration program at Southern Utah University.
