October 4, 2023 - Planning Commission

The Planning Commission will hold public hearings at 5:00 p.m. to consider the following:

1. A zoning ordinance amendment that would require additional mitigation measures for certain commercial uses in the C-2, CP-2 and CPCO zones if they are considered a high impact land use when adjacent to residential zones.
2. A subdivision ordinance amendment that would modify the process for considering subdivision preliminary plans. The amendment would establish the planning commission as the approval authority for subdivision plans rather than requiring approval by both the planning commission and mayor.

The Community Development Division of Ogden City is asking for public input on the following:

Amendment #1 to the Annual Action Plan Fiscal Year 2024. The purpose is to adopt the HUD 2023 HOME Homeownership value limits; increase the Own in Ogden HOME budget and HOME match funds and increase Own in Ogden program goals; adopt a one year CDBG overall low- and moderate-income benefit certification period; and approve an Annual Action Plan Fiscal Year 2024 HUD overall budget decrease.

The City Council will hold a public hearing on the following items at 6:00 p.m.

A request to rezone property located at 1720-1834 Washington Boulevard from Single-Family Residential Zone (R-1-6), Two-Family Residential Zone (R-2), Open Space Zone (O-1), and Community Commercial Zone (CP-2) to Regional Commercial Zone/Conditional Overlay Zone (C-3/CO).
A request to vacate a portion of River Drive and the conveyance of surplus City property to develop a mixed-use project.
