Classes

Arts & Crafts - Thursdays 5:00-6:00 pm

In this class students will learn about visual arts and explore the visual world. They will communicate thoughts, feelings, and form concepts about themselves and the environment.

This class is for students ages 6-17 and will cost $10 a student. There will one class a week for 6 weeks. Classes start March 7, and end April 11. The class will be held at Weber County Library 2464 Jefferson.

Ballet - Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm

Students will learn proper body alignment and technique. Barre and center floor work are combined with choreography to tech musicality, rhythm, coordination, and flexibility. There will be a recital at the end of the class.

 The instructor is Krestine Keagy. This class is for students ages 7-17 and will cost $10 a student. There will be one class a week for 6 weeks. Classes start March 6, and end April 10. The class will be held at Weber County Library 2464 Jefferson. The recital will be at 6 pm on April 17 at Ben Lomond High 1080 9th street in the athletic center.

Beginner Pottery - Friday 4:30-5:30 pm 

Students will learn how to make pottery without a wheel using three different styles. Students will use pinch, coil, and slab techniques to make things like containers, cooking vessels, plates, mugs, etc. 

The instructor for the class is Julia Aldrich. This class is for students ages 10-17 and will cost $10 a student. There will be one class a week for 6 weeks. Classes start March 9 and end April 10. The class will be held at Golden Hours 650 25th street.

Fun with Music and Rhythm - Friday 5:00-5:45 pm

This class gives children the chance to learn and practice counting from 1 to 10. While introducing a new family of musical instruments.   

The instructor is Kevin Greever. The class will cost $10. There will be one class every week for 6 weeks. Class will start March 8, and end April 12. Class will be held at Project Success 2909 Washington Blvd.

Intermediate Pottery - Friday 5:30-6:30 pm

Students will build on the foundations learned in beginning pottery. Students with continue to develop their technical/media skills without the throwing wheel. There will be teacher directed practice and choice based practice and small projects.

Intro to Boxing - Mondays & Wednesdays 4:00-5:00 pm

Athletes will learn the basics to boxing and will learn discipline. They will warm up, work on foot work, and do bag and pad work. 

The instructor is former pro boxer Ron Brown. This class is for athletes ages 8-17 and costs $10 a student. There will be one class a week for 6 weeks. Classes start March 4 or March 6 and will end April 8 or April 10.

Jr. Chef - Thursday 5:00-6:00 pm

Students will learn basics of cooking while learning how to make a different dish each week. Students will engage with the chef to improve their skills in the kitchen. 

The instructor is Carissa Frandsen. This class is for students ages 8-17 and will cost $40 a student. There will be one class a week for 6 weeks. Class starts March 7 and will end April 11. The class will be held at Kitchen Kneads 3030 Grant Ave.

Jr. Tumbling - Monday 5:30-6:15 pm

In this class students will learn the basic skills of cheer, stunts and tumbling.

The instructor is Shara Gooda. This class is for students ages 6-12 and it will cost $10 a student. There will be one class a week for six weeks. Class will start March 4 and end April 8. The recital will be at 6:oo pm on April 15th. The class and recital will be held at Ben Lomond High School Athletic Center on 1080 9th Street. 

Legos - Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 pm

Students will pick a Lego set and have up to 6 weeks to assemble it. Once the students project is completed they will take it home. Students who have never done Legos will be able to guide them.

This class is for students ages 10-17 and will cost $40 a student. There will be one class a week for 6 weeks. Classes start March 5, and end April 9. The class will be held at the Weber County Library 2464 Jefferson

Mini/Jr Dance - Monday 5:30-6:15 pm

In this class students will learn basic skills and techniques for cheerleading and dance. 

The instructor is Shara Gooda. This class is for students ages 6-12 and it will cost $10 a student. There will be one class a week for six weeks. Class will start March 4 and end April 8. The recital will be at 6:00 pm on April 15th. The class and recital  will be held at Ben Lomond High School Athletic Center on 1080 9th Street. 

Mini Tumbling - Monday 6:15-7:00 pm

 Painting - Thursdays 4:00-5:00 pm

Each week students will work on a different project and will use different techniques. Everything students will need will be provided. Students will get to take there projects home after they are completed.

Peewee Dance - Monday 4:30-5:00 pm

In this class students will learn the basic skills and techniques for cheerleading and dance. 

The instructor is Shara Gooda. This class is for students ages 3-5 and it will cost $10 a student. There will be one class a week for six weeks. Class will start March 4 and end April 8. The class will be held at Ben Lomond High School Athletic Center on 1080 9th Street.

Piano 1 - Wednesday 4:00-5:00 pm

This class is for beginning piano students ages 9-17 with little to no experience. In this class you will learn basic music theory, fundamentals and technique of playing the piano. Each week you are expected to complete pieces in our lesson book, weekly assignments, and play in a mini-recital at the end of the class. 

The instructor is Kevin Greever. The class will cost $10. There will be one class every week for 6 weeks. Classes start on March 6, and end on April 10. Class will be held at project success 2902 Washington Blvd. The recital will be at 5 pm on April 17 at the Weber county library 2464 Jefferson Ave.

Piano 2 - Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm

This is for for intermediate and advanced students ages 9-17. Students will learn more technical songs and advanced compositions. 

The instructor is Kevin Greever. The class will cost $10. There will be one class every week for 6 weeks. Classes start on March 6, and end on April 10. Class will be held at project success 2902 Washington Blvd. The recital will be at 5 pm on April 17 at the Weber county library 2464 Jefferson Ave.

Piano Jr.- Friday 4:00-5:00 pm

The instructor is Kevin Greever. This is an introductory class for kids age 6-8. Students will learn the basic fundamentals and technique of playing the piano. The class will cost $10. There will be one class every week for 6 weeks. Classes start on March 8, and end on April 12.
